Product detailed description

Coffee harvesting in Huila, Colombia – Los HibiscosThe Huila department, located in south-western Colombia, is where the Andes divide into the Western, Central and Eastern mountain ranges. The region’s fertile volcanic soil and the Magdalena and Cauca rivers, which flow between the mountain ranges, create several unique microclimates and ideal conditions for growing coffee. Thanks to its proximity to the equator and elevations ranging from 800 to 2,200 metres, coffee can be harvested several times a year, helping to ensure consistent quality and freshness.

The “Los Hibiscos” coffee from this region has the classic flavour profile of Huila, with beautiful sweet notes that will delight anyone who enjoys high-quality coffee.

The quality classification “Excelso EP” means that these are medium-sized beans (Excelso) that have been carefully hand-sorted to meet strict European quality standards (EP).

Colombia is a country with a rich history and remarkable natural beauty. Over the past two decades, it has become one of Latin America’s leading economies. Thanks to the hard work of its coffee growers and its excellent growing conditions, Colombia plays an essential role in the global speciality coffee market.

Coffee growing in Huila, Colombia – Los HibiscosColombia’s landscape is incredibly diverse – from two ocean coastlines, snow-covered mountains and glaciers to vast deserts and the Amazon basin. This diversity is the key to the wide range of flavours found in Colombian coffees.
