Product detailed description

Kenya—a jewel of East Africa—lies directly on the equator. Despite its tropical location, the climate is moderated by the Indian Ocean and Lake Victoria. From the flat savannahs teeming with wildlife, the land rises to the cool central highlands, crowned by Mount Kenya at 5,199 meters above sea level.
It’s on these lush slopes where coffee plants thrive in mineral-rich red volcanic soils. The combination of altitude, fertile land, and ideal weather creates the vibrant, juicy flavor profile that Kenyan coffee is renowned for.
Coffee cultivation in Kenya began relatively late, in the early 20th century, but quickly earned a reputation for excellence. Today, over 70% of the country's coffee is produced by smallholder farmers who organize into Farmer Cooperative Societies (FCS), each operating its own processing station. The coffee is typically washed and dried on raised beds to maintain clarity and character.Country: Kenya
