Peru Grade 1 Cajamarca 1450 - 1650 m.a.s.l.

This Peruvian coffee stands out with its fuller body supported by medium sweetness and medium bitterness. Its harmonious flavour combines notes of walnut, roasted hazelnut and dark chocolate. Thanks to its low grape-like acidity, it is excellent for both espresso and filter brewing.

Kávová plantáž v Peru CajamarcaThe Cajamarca region lies in the north-west of Peru, a mountainous, forested and agriculturally rich area nestled in the shadow of the Andes. Cajamarca is known not only for quality coffee, but also for its history and culture — the region’s caves contain traces of some of the earliest inhabitants of Peru, and the city of Cajamarca is home to some of the most important colonial architectural landmarks in the country.

Coffee in Cajamarca is grown at higher elevations, typically between 1,200 and 2,000 metres above sea level. This altitude provides ideal climatic conditions for coffee cultivation, contributing to a distinctive regional flavour profile. Slower cherry maturation at higher elevations often leads to a fuller body and a more complex cup.Květ kávovníku

Most coffee in Peru is cultivated by smallholder farmers, many of whom work less than a hectare of land. They typically process their coffee using the washed method directly on their farms. A significant number of growers practise organic farming, making Peru the world’s largest exporter of organic Arabica coffee.

I really appreciated the taste of this coffee beans. It was quite bold and strong body but totally without the taste of the ash in the end. End also my friends told me that it's very close to the taste they get used to in Portugal.
